C. K. Rowling, Joan Kathleen Rowling, who adopted this name to use the beginning letter of her grandmother Kathleen as her middle name. She is a film producer, novelist, and screenwriter. She received her primary education at St Michael's Primary School and then obtained her secondary school certificate from Wydden High School. Joan Rowling was awarded the title of "Dem", in addition to the British Medal of Honour.
Rowling is known for writing the famous Harry Potter series of novels, for which she won several awards. This series was considered one of the best-selling books in history, as the novels have sold nearly four hundred million copies. Among the female writers, Joan is considered the first billionaire in the world, with an estimated fortune of more than a billion dollars, and she was chosen as the most influential woman in Britain in 2010.
Joan obtained a degree in classical literature from the University of Extra, and when she lived in France for a short period, she worked for Amnesty International, then she went to Portugal to work as a teacher, and there she met her first husband, the Portuguese journalist Jorge Arantes, the father of her daughter Jessica, and her marriage to him ended in divorce, as She sought refuge in the British embassy to protect her from her ex-husband. She married a second time to the British anesthesiologist Neil Murray, with whom she has a child, David, and a daughter, Mackenzie.
In 1995, Rowling began writing the adventures of the boy wizard, Harry Potter, whose idea came to her mind during her trip on the train from Manchester to London, and she found a name for him, his would-be enemy, and his legacy as well. Rowling became a global literary icon in 1999, when the first three Harry Potter books reached the top three spots on the New York Times bestseller list, having enjoyed similar success in the United Kingdom as well. In July 2000, the fourth book in the series, "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire," became the fastest-selling book in history. Then the fifth book of the series, "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix," was published, followed by the sixth part of the series, "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince," which sold more than 6.9 million copies in the United States of America within the first 24 hours only. This was the largest book opening in history.
The seventh and final book, "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows," was the book that received the most pre-orders from various sites such as Barnes & Noble and Amazon.
Among her sayings: "You will not get results if you dwell on dreams and forget to live."
