نبوية موسى هي رائدة مصرية بارزة في مجالات التعليم وحقوق المرأة، وُلِدت عام 1886م في قرية مجول بمحافظة القليوبية. نشأت يتيمة الأب، حيث توفي والدها قبل ميلادها بشهرين، مما زاد من شغفها بالتعليم. رغم التقاليد الاجتماعية التي منعت الفتيات من الالتحاق بالمدارس، استطاعت أن تتعلم القراءة والكتابة في البيت بمساعدة شقيقها الأكبر. وعندما بلغت الثالثة عشرة، قررت الالتحاق بالمدرسة، فاضطُرَّت لسرقة خاتم والدتها لتزوير موافقتها، ونجحت في الانضمام إلى المدرسة السنية للبنات، حيث تخرجت بتفوق عام 1903م. بعد أن حصلت على شهادة قسم المعلمات عام 1906م، عملت معلمةً في مدرسة عباس الابتدائية للبنات، لكنها صُدمت عندما اكتشفت أن راتبها نصف راتب زملائها. فقررت أن تدرس للحصول على شهادة البكالوريا، وأصبحت أول فتاة مصرية تحصل عليها عام 1907م. بدأت في كتابة مقالات تتناول قضايا التعليم وتربية الفتاة، وألفت كتبًا ضمَّت أفكارها وآراءها. كانت أول ناظرة مصرية لمدرسة ابتدائية، حيث بذلت جهودًا كبيرة لنشر تعليم الفتيات. أسست مطبعة ومجلة أسبوعية نسائية باسم "الفتاة"، وشاركت في مؤتمرات تربوية ونسائية متعددة. تُوفيت عام 1951م، تاركةً وراءها إرثًا ثقافيًا وتعليميًا عظيمًا.
